Bio

Joining the law school in 2006, Ned Swanner is the Assistant Director for Electronic Services and Research for the George H. Jones Law Library.  Beyond electronic services, Professor Swanner’s work entails faculty research, reference, and some collection development duties.

Prior to coming to the Faulkner Law, Professor Swanner was Head of Faculty and Student Services at St. Thomas University School of Law Library.   He has a passion for teaching, having taught legal research in law schools for the past fifteen years.  He has taught Advanced Legal Research at Faulkner Law since 2007.  A licensed member of the Virginia Bar, Professor Swanner also holds memberships in the American Association of Law Libraries, the Law Libraries Association of Alabama, and the American Society for Information Science and Technology.

His charitable activities include the contribution of web development services to the American Guild for Infant Survival and its affiliate, the Global Guild for Human Survival.
