Montgomery, Ala. – Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law continues its strong upward trajectory, reporting record enrollment growth and nationally recognized gains in student diversity for the current academic year.

According to statistics released this week by the American Bar Association, the Law School’s first-year class has grown to 167 students, representing a 49.11% increase over last year’s entering class. This growth ranks as the third-largest percentage increase among law schools nationwide and stands as the largest increase in Alabama.

Overall enrollment at Faulkner Law has reached 411 students, reflecting a 20.2% increase from the previous year. This places the Law School sixth nationally for percentage growth in total enrollment and first in the state of Alabama among American Bar Association approved schools.

In addition to enrollment growth, Faulkner Law has achieved notable progress in student diversity. Black or African American enrollment has increased to 18.25%, up from 17.84% last year. This figure ranks the Law School 10th nationally for Black or African American enrollment percentage and first among all Alabama law schools.

“These enrollment outcomes reflect the strength of our academic programs, our commitment to access and opportunity, and the growing national recognition of the value of a Faulkner Law education,” said Charles Campbell, Dean of the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. “We are proud to see this momentum reflected not only in growth, but in a student body that increasingly reflects the communities our graduates will serve.”

Faulkner Law’s recent enrollment success aligns with broader institutional achievements, including strong bar passage results, expanded scholarship support, and national recognition for its advocacy programs. Together, these indicators underscore the Law School’s mission to educate practice-ready lawyers grounded in excellence, character, and service.
